Such excitement today in P4. Santa came to visit Oakwood! We were so happy to see him and very thankful for our wonderful gifts. 
Special word of thanks to our amazing Parent's Council who facilitated this school-wide event today. 

P4 were rocking their fabulous Christmas jumpers today! What a fun day getting into the Christmas spirit! 

Well done to Caolan for winning the overall P4 prize with his outstanding design!

P4 worked very hard today to write super Snowmen Shape poems. 

We learnt about the painting technique of Pointillism, created by artist Georges Seurat. We then used this to create a snowman. ⛄️ ❄️ 

We made beautiful decorations for our Christmas trees. For a lot of us, it was the first time using a needle and thread but we enjoyed learning this new skill and will hopefully get to practise it again. 🎄

Santa heard that we're holding our Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 16th December.  He and Mrs Claus are hoping to come along to join in the fun on Friday! 

We love learning about letters in P1. We use lots of practical and fun activities to remember our letters.

We had a fantastic Christmas show in P1 for all our grown-ups. We sang our hearts out and perfected all the actions. It was a truly wonderful occasion. Well done P1

In P1 for anti-bullying we enjoyed the topic of Elmer. We had an Elmer parade, we celebrated our differences. We know that we are all unique and special like Elmer.

We are so grateful to our buddies at St Colm's High School for coming in and supporting the Primary 7 pupils who are due to make their sacrament of Confirmation in February. 

We have been inspired by the beautiful winter weather to create our own artwork. We looked at a variety of winter sky paintings and also a piece by Megan Duncanson called "Blue Cascade". We blended colours together to make a background and used glue guns to add a 3D effect tree. Keep an eye on...

A huge well done to our amazing Primary 7 pupils who completed all their GL and AQE transfer papers over the last few weeks. They couldn't have done it without the support of their classmates. To celebrate, the whole class were treated to hot chocolate and biscuits.
