Parents' Council have organised FREE mid-term discos for our pupils on Friday 21st October 2016. 

P2-3 from 1-1.50pm and P4-7 from 2-2.50pm.

Come along in casual clothes or dress to impress!

We are keeping our brains and bodies fit by taking part in the Daily Mile. We are walking, running or jogging ten laps around the playground.

Even the teachers and classroom assistants join in!

Our maths work for the first half term focused on angles and lines. We spent time making angles from wool and tape and giving them to our partner to measure and classify. Using art straws to make pictures using all types of lines was fun also!

From tomorrow, the children here at Oakwood are going to be participating in The Daily Mile. Each class at a time of the teacher's choosing will complete 10 laps of the playground, which equals a miles.

As a Healthy school, we hope that this initiative will help keep our children fit...

Look at our fantastic pupil council members! They will join the representatives from P1 - 6 to be the pupil voice of Oakwood!

Well done to our newly elected class council members. They will ensure all of P7's thoughts and suggestions are listened to and are taken to the whole school pupil council.
