Pre-School Open Afternoon for admission September 2018 will be on Monday 11th December 2017.Please come along between 12-1pm to view our setting.

We look forward to having Jo Boylan from Belfast Hills in our classroom later this month. She will be bringing lots of salmon eggs for us to keep and monitor in the classroom until they are ready to be released back into the local Derriaghy river.

For the third year running, P7 will enter the Sentinus F1 in Schools competition. We have been so lucky to have support from parents within the engineering and advertising businesses.

Oakwood pupil Emily Bryce is only 5 years old but she has made a very mature decision to have her beautiful long golden locks cut so that she can donate her hair to be transformed into a wig for a child with cancer.

Primary 7 pupils have been working hard over the last few weeks to create beautiful, handmade products for their Christmas Shop.

They sold hot chocolate cones, sweetie cones, cards, reindeer food and gift tags and made an incredible profit of £500!

The Belfast Giants came to visit Oakwood last week to teach us more about keeping fit. Benny and Gordy taught us a lot about making good food choices and Benny even showed us a great circuit activity which we will include in our PE lessons.

Preparation for Confirmation is well underway for our children from the Roman Catholic Faith. A group of pupils from St Colm's come over to work with the children each Friday morning to help them prepare for this special sacrament.
