Over the last while, we have been learning how to weave. It was hard getting used to the technique and it took some time but the beautiful wall hangings are worth it!  😃

Today was the last session of our biodiversity programme with Aidan, Debbie and Ciara. We looked for birds and mini beasts in our school garden and some of us were even brave enough to hold the huge spiders we found. 🕷😬 

This year, for integrated month, we had to create a ‘bake’ based around the themes of friendship, together and hope. P6 had such fab ideas and entries and Jack was our winner. Well done everyone! 😊

This week we learnt all about bats. Debbie showed us some mummified bats and told us about going on bat walks using bat detectors. Aidan helped us to make bat boxes to put up around our school grounds. We loved using the drill again! 😃

Another really fun morning as part of our biodiversity programme. Aidan and Debbie showed us some different birds from around our school garden - a goldcrest, a chaffinch and a bluetit. They showed us how to ring the birds so they can be tracked around the world. We loved seeing them up close.

For week 2 of our biodiversity programme, Debbie brought in a hedgehog, owl and fox for us to meet. 🦔 🦉 🦊 

We enjoyed week 1 of our biodiversity programme where we got to make bird boxes. Aidan, Debbie and Ciara helped us use the tools to put the boxes together and are going to hang them around our school grounds. Hopefully we spot lots of visitors over the coming months. 🐦 

We have been doing persuasive writing recently and so we decided to use our persuasive techniques to carry out a debate. The children had to prepare arguments for or against a statement and present it to the class. They had the opportunity to respond to other teams comments before we voted on...

There were lots of fab outfits on the go in P6. We enjoyed sharing about our favourite characters and doing some book related activities. 📚😊

We were learning about the different layers of the ocean and made a model using different liquids to represent them.

We made bird feeders to hang up around our school grounds. Hopefully the birds enjoyed these tasty treats. 🐦 

We enjoyed making lots of yummy chocolate buns as a treat!
