This week we are making and designing Egyptian pyramids. Some people have chosen to use Minecraft, cardboard, or spaghetti and marshmallows. Saharah decided to make her pyramid out of toilet roll holders and I’d imagine this was difficult to keep from rolling around! Love it! 😊

We have been thinking about the mummification process this week. Evie has shown so clearly the steps they had to follow to mummify the body and has such fantastic illustrations. This is fab! 🤩

P5 are staying active! What great weather for Sophie, Ethan and Isla to have lots of lovely outdoor adventures! 😊

This week in P5 we have been keeping virtual diaries on what we have got up to each day. It’s nice to read how everyone is keeping busy by going for walks, FaceTiming friends and family, baking and playing games with their family. 😊

We were meant to have our Eco Super Learning Day this week. Since it wasn’t possible, P5 had their own eco day at home. Here are just a selection of the activities they did. They included making bug hotels, scavenger hunts and crafts.

Eva made a beautiful bunting for VE Day. 

P5 had to plan and give a speech about a topic of their choice. Some chose to talk about their favourite football team, gymnastics, their teddies or riding their bike and I loved hearing all about these.

P5 have been researching countries, cities and places of interest around the world. They have then created brochures giving information and encouraging people to visit there. Sophie created a fabulous brochure all about New Zealand and it’s made me definitely want to visit!!

Our STEM challenge this week was to build a raft and test it in water to see if it floats. Leigha’s raft was able to float and hold lots of different items.
