P6 and their friends from Christ the Redeemer visited the Belfast Indian  Centre and learnt all about the Indian faith and culture.  We had a great time! @IEF

The topic in P6 at the moment is 'All things Giant' and everyone completed a project on this theme for homework.  This certainly is a 'giant' project!

We had a great time learning all about the Islamic faith.

What a wonderful time we had on Day 3 of our 'Side by Side' project (funded by IEF),with our friends at Christ the Redeemer.  We visited the Belfast Islamic Centre and were treated to a wonderful morning.

From tomorrow, the children here at Oakwood are going to be participating in The Daily Mile. Each class at a time of the teacher's choosing will complete 10 laps of the playground, which equals a miles.

As a Healthy school, we hope that this initiative will help keep our children fit...

P6 have been looking at Synonyms and Antonyms in Literacy this week.  We created this display to show case our learning.

P6 are involved in a project with our friends from Christ the Redeemer called, 'Side by Side, together as One!'  This project has been kindly funded by the IEF.  We have had our first meeting, were we joined in some mixed team games, to get to know one another and we are looking...

We had to solve the maths and then crack the code to work out the hidden message.  We discovered the message Miss McClure had written was:

"Be the best you can be!"

P6 have been enjoying the last of the good weather.  We decided to take our lessons on measurement outside and fly some planes!
