We are learnng about tens and units in P3.

What a great few days we had doing our maths outside.

We worked as a team to come up with our class rules.  We took photographs of us acting out the rules to help us to remember them.  Here is Jamie, Anna and Jude showing us the rule about working together!

We have been working hard learning about our senses and in our number work we have been learning alot about careful measuring.  We rolled some play doh snakes to measure using our rulers and we learnt all about cm.  We also drew around parts of our body to measure.

We have been learning all about symmetry.  We used lots of different equipment to make symmetrical patterns.  We cut ourselves some string and went on a search around the school for lines of symmetry.

We had a great day planting seeds in p3! We water our seeds every day and keep them in the sunlight.  We hope to see them grow in the coming weeks.

We had a great time watching the Jungle book production by M&M.

We made an outdoor graph about favourite colours and hair colours.

In P3 we have had a great time visiting both Christ The Redeemer P.S and Pond Park P.S as we take part in a project alongside them and Stranmillis P.S.  We have already met lots of new friends through the project.

Have a look at our Flat Stanley wall display! Stanley is beginning to return from all his adventures - he has already been to Liverpool, Brazil, Arizona, Hillsborough and Portugal!

We are very excited to find out where else Stanley will visit and add more pictures to our display.

Well done to our new Superkid - Meyya.  Meyya works very hard and is always keen to help out her classmates.

Ellie has worked so hard on her reading and has made great improvements!  She reads with wonderful expression and it is a pleasure to listen to her.

Thank you very much to everyone who came along to our Maths Super Learning Day last week.  It was great to see everyone have so much fun taking part in the various activities.  We revised addition and subtraction, time, money and also worked on our new topics of symmetry and fractions.

Well done Jude!  You are the new Superkid in Primary 3.

I am always so impressed with Jude's kind nature and how quickly he jumps to help his classmates.  What a kind boy!
