Keeping Safe Programme

Oakwood IPS is one of approximately 90 schools across Northern Ireland taking part in the Keeping Safe Preventative Education project.  Parents of our pupils recently received guidance materials, permission slips and parent survey information.

Below are  links to the parent information video and an animated explainer for the project:

Links to the children’s surveys are also provided in the Parents' section of the website (Parents' Council Meetings and Minutes) so that parents can review them before giving consent for their child to take part.  All of the surveys have been approved for use by the NSPCC ethics committee and were developed in consultation with children, teachers and child protection experts.

The online parent survey can be accessed directly on the following link:  bit.ly/1L6blJJ

It is also importan to underline that parents do not have to consent for their children being part of the evaluation. This part of the project is optional.
