P4 had a successful Maths Week Ireland week. We had a lot of fun completing the different Maths challenges and activities. 

P4 took their learning outdoors today as part of Maths Week Ireland. They completed a fun Maths Nature Trail. They completed lots of different activities, from finding symmetry in Nature, to sorting, collecting data and making Shape and Space pictures! 

P4 are on to their second challenge of the day! Can they figure out the 100 Square Challenge????

P4 have been reading 'The Witches' as their class novel. Today, we worked in small teams and pairs to write instructions. We were making a magic potion. 

P4 have been learning all about 'Instructional Writing' this term. They worked hard to write instructions on how to wash your hands properly! 

P4 worked very hard this week. They wrote beautiful Autumn acrostic poems! 

We had our first school-wide Monthly Maths Challenge today.

P4 were so excited to complete their challenge! It was a tricky one-adding several numbers in a Magic Square!

Daniel was the fastest and the first winner. Well done Daniel! 

P4 are continuing to look at 2D and 3D shape. In our pairs this week, we had lots of fun making a variety of shapes. 

Last week P4 have been revising 2D shape properties. We had lots of fun making cool 2D shape pictures. 

This term P4 are learning all about ‘ Instructional Writing’ Last week we had a lot of fun making cool spinners! We then worked hard in pairs to complete the written instructions. 

While the was shining, P4 made the best of the good weather. We went outside on a 3D shape hunt all around the school. We found lots of interesting shapes.
