P.4 Weekly news

Well, what a busy weekend and week. After all the excitement of the children celebrating making their First Holy Communion on Sat 9th May 2015, we still had more excitement ahead.

What a busy week we have had. First of all on Monday we had a huge party to celebrate Holy Communion and to say thank you to all of our friends in P.4 who supported us and to the choir for their beautiful music on the day. It was a great party and a huge thank you to all of the wonderful party food sent in by parents and guardians. It was greatly appreciated.

During the party, we got another unexpected surprise(although Miss Stewart already knew) Claire Mullholland has given us some hatching eggs to look after. Hopefully by next week we will be the new surrogate parents of some gorgeous baby chickens! Egg watching is a very serious job and we even thought we saw some of the eggs wiggle!

On Wednesday, Miss Stewart had another surprise. Claire again brought in some visitors for us to see. We got to hold gorgeous but hungry rabbits, little 2 week old chicks, a 4 week old chick and an eight week old chick! They were so cute. Claire also had Shaun the Sheep, Larry the sheep and Emily the goat with her. It was very exciting. We even got to hold Henritta the Hen, who thankfulky behaved really well! Finally we got to hold a tiny tortoise. It was a brilliant day and we had great fun with our new friends.

As if our week couldn't get any busier-we went swimming for the first ever time! The bus journey, getting changed and getting into the pool certainly were exciting. We can't wait to go next week again and start learning how to swim!

So as you can imagine after a fun-filled but very busy week, we are exhausted. It's time to relax and enjoy the weekend! Check back next week and you never know we might have some EGG-CITING News ! Have a lovely weekend!
