Parents' Council Meeting
The next meeting of the Parents' Council is on Monday 1st June at 9am. We need as many parents as possible to attend to finalise details for the school fair on Saturday 6th June.
The School Fair is the main fundraiser for Oakwood and any monies raised will be going towards the purchase of iPads for the children to use in class.
ICT continues to be a key area of our School Development Plan and the iPad training the staff and children have received to date has illustrated the potential to raise standards even further at Oakwood through the use of iPad and Apple TV.
Please help us make the fair a roaring success by donating in items for the following:
- bottle tombola
- chocolate tombola
- small wrapped presents for the Lucky Dip
- family packet of crisps and sweets for the Tuck Shop and
- good quality books/toys for the White Elephant Stall.
If you have any items of school uniform in good condition but too small for your little ones, could you please donate it in for the nearly new stall.
Other attractions on the day will include:
Belfast Bus, Elsa from Frozen, Jumping Clay workshops, BBQ, ice cream van, balloon modelling, face painting and much more...
We look forward to seeing you on the big day but would really appreciate your help on Monday 1st June to bring it all together.
