Our Nursery class enjoyed a pyjama day for Children in Need 2025!

In nursery, we are enjoying learning about the roles of people who help us in our community.

Key Dates

This year's Sponsored Walk has raised an AMAZING £2,678.30. A HUGE thank you for your generosity.  Monies raised will be used towards classroom resources and upgrading our ICT equipment.

Congratulations to our outstanding competition winners. The standard this time was exceptional, making the selection process quite challenging. We are fortunate to have so many talented artists at Oakwood.

We were amazed, excited and in awe during our visit from 'Make a Sound'

We listened to the interactive story of Room on the Broom. It was so much fun!

We worked very well together to carve some pumpkins, we voted on whether they should have spooky or happy faces and decided on one of each! We worked hard and concentrated on carving our designs into the pumpkins. We used the left overs in our mud kitchen. Such a fun morning!

We have been loving mixing and experimenting to make bubbly paint for our magic cauldrons!

A huge well done to Rahael on her fabulous Autumn art. It is now hanging pride of place in the school office.

We have been having so much fun meeting new friends, playing and learning together!

Parents are warmly invited to attend our European Languages Day event on Thursday 25th September, from 9.30am-10.30am, in their child/ren's classrooms, followed by our Macmillan Coffee Morning in the school assembly hall from 10.30am-11am.

It has been so lovely to see everyone back to school again and to hear all your summer news. We are also looking forward to welcoming our new Nursery and Primary 1 pupils to Oakwood over the coming days and weeks.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came along to the Leavers' Service this morning to celebrate with our wonderful P7 young people.

It's the end of an era for so many Oakwood families with their one and only, or their last child through the school...but the tie remains.. you are forever...
