Lucia Hassard's amazing fundraising for Concern.

Eight year old guarantees over £1,000 for international charity!
After seeing the devastating effects of the recent hurricanes which destroyed parts of the Carribean, little Lucia Hassard, aged 8 from Lisburn decided that she wanted to do something to help vulnerable children across the world.
Lucia explained, “It made me feel really sad to see all the families and children who had no home or any toys to play with and I really wanted to help.”
Lucia, who attends Oakwood Integrated Primary School in Derriaghy decided to fundraise for humanitarian organisation, Concern Worldwide. She organised not just one fundraising event but two, holding a craft fair at school and a bake sale at home. Altogether, Lucia raised an amazing £527.05!
The UK government are currently matching every pound raised in support of Concern’s Food in a Fragile World appeal before 17th December meaning that the money Lucia has raised will become over £1,000! Lucia’s fantastic efforts and fundraising will help vulnerable families affected by conflict and climate change get the food, water and healthcare they need to survive.
