ETI Inspection Report

Oakwood Integrated PS and Nursery Unit was inspected in the week beginning 18th November 2024.  The Inspection Report is now available from the ETI website

ETI observed, inspected and discussed in depth how the school responds to the 5 Core Questions. The 5 Core Questions are: 

What is the school’s/organisation’s vision and what informs it? 

How is the school/organisation setting about achieving the vision, within its own context?

How does the school/organisation monitor how well it and its learners are doing and how responsive is it to overcoming challenges and barriers? 

How does the school/organisation define, celebrate and embed success for all learners? 

How is the school/organisation creating the right conditions for the growth and development of a community of learning?

Currently, ETI can find a school to be:-

- Highly Effective (HE)

- Effective (E) or 

- Not Effective Enough (NEE)

Oakwood Integrated PS & NU is deemed to be Highly Effective across all 5 areas – the highest a school can achieve. 

ETI also identifies examples of highly effective practice from which others may learn. The aspects of practice at Oakwood which should be shared more widely are:

• The strategic and flexible approaches to utilising staff expertise, and the creative use of curriculum time, to build capacity across the school and ensure all children have access to a broad and balanced curriculum that is responsive to their individual needs.

The entire Oakwood community are delighted with the report which accurately reflects how we are intentionally integrated and continually 'Learning, Working and Playing Together for a Better Tomorrow.'
