November 2024 Education and Training Inspectorate (ETI) Inspection Report stated:

All members of the inclusive and dynamic community of Oakwood Integrated Primary School and Nursery Unit are fully committed to the aims and values of integrated education and are passionate about their vision, Learning, Working and Playing Together for a Better Tomorrow.

The ETI will continue to work with Oakwood Integrated Primary School and Nursery Unit, including to share examples of highly effective practice from which others may learn.

Christmas Cakes

In Literacy, P5 are focusing on Procedural Writing. During the next couple of weeks we will be putting this to the test and will be making Christmas Cakes.

Could you please send in a small tin e.g. baked bean tin or spaghetti tin which your child will use as the 'cake tin'. Please use a tin opener and open the tin upside down so that the ring pull is still in place.

Could you also send in £1 so that we can buy the ingredients we need. Miss McClure will cook the cakes at home, we will then decorate them in school and they will be sent home for you to enjoy over the Christmas holidays.
